Program
Childs-pace provides a safe and enriching environment where children are encouraged to express themselves through theater, music, arts, crafts, and sports. Childs-pace also addresses academic needs by providing help with homework and access to educational materials.
The before and after-school community based program allows for individualized learning in an environment featuring varied age-appropriate activities and materials. Childs-pace supports the development of positive self-image in each child and awareness of others' rights and needs.
Childs-pace recruits and trains knowledgable child-development teachers who promote: problem-solving, cognitive, social, emotional, physical and language development skills.
During the school year, the Childs-pace before and after school program provides many opportunities for school-age children:
Homework support – Childs pace teachers and aides provide one-on-one help and a quiet environment where students can complete school assignments.
Arts and crafts, music and theater, movement and dance – projects designed to encourage self-expression and confidence.
Themed activities – special lessons designed to build general knowledge and enhance academic skills.
Games and physical activities – age appropriate activities address children's needs to play and interact socially.
In the summer, a full-time program provides all of the above, plus much more, including field trips to art and science centers, museums and special outdoor activities.
